Vienna 1925. The young parapsychologist Zoe examines a twelve-year-old Romanian peasant girl who is said to be possessed by the devil. When Zoe’s research causes the haunted phenomena to worsen and the girl threatens to suffer life-threatening damage, Zoe comes into conflict between scientific claims and responsibility for the child.
